I'm getting a new lappie on thursday! Whee! Can't wait. Actually was supposed to get it today but when my belle-mere tried to pay with her credit card (0% installments) her card couldn't be detected, so she's gonna get her replacement card on Thursday and we're gonna go again then. So although I am kinda disappointed coz I was hoping to be able to download stuff on it tonight at my cousins' place, I'm still excited aout it. Woohoo.
Going home today..after 3 days spent at my cousin's place. So I'll blog as much as possible for my loyal readers. Huhuhu
Last Saturday we went White water rafting at Slim River. It was so much fun. I fell in the river. Huhu...cleared all my sinuses. Although according to my dad I didn't fall in..I teleported in. One moment I was in the raft, next moment I was gone. I thought so too. I kinda boumced off the raft so didn't realize I wasn't on the raft anymore. In fact, when I was in the water it took me quite a while to find the raft coz I was facing the other way. So funny. My bro said he almost expected to see me paddling. But the best part, after spitting out water, the first thought that went through my head was "my contacts! Are they still in my eyes?" Then after that "I'm in the water!" Talk about settin priorities straight...
So I tried to register online yesterday, and as usual there were problems. It's so frustrating! Dahla bagi 3 hari je, pastu system banyak problem. I had to call my Academic Advisor, but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. I really don't see the point of online registration. We're gonna register manually anyways. Menyusahkan sungguh.
It's been quite a few days since I've been back from Sabah, but finally I can blog! We stayed at the Tang Dynasty, and it was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't know if it's normally like that, or it was only that time. Firt of all, the bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but it was stated in the brochure that each room was supposed to have one. When asked, the receptionist said it was because of renovation in progress. Then, later we asked the housekeeping people, they said the room memang takde bathtub. Also, we asked for extra bed because there were three of us kan, but they didn't have any. Instead they providd a mattress which wasn't even comfortable! I would rather have stayd on in my sis-in-law's place. And when housekeeping made up the room, they didn't even make the mattress. Tak layak kot. And, the glasses they provided to drink with weren't clean. They looked like they weren't even washed. Yuck. But other than that, I had a great time. We went to this nice seafood place called Gayang. It's in Tuaran, a bit off the road, but anyone who goes anywhere near the area should look for it. Then we went to a kopitiam (I know..go all the way to Sabah and eat at kopitiam? Not my idea...ikut je). There was this wonderful yoghurt ice-cream..it was so yummy! We even took the numbr of the company (Jeny's) to see if they had any in KL. Also, that's when I discovered that if you go to any restaurant/mamak/kopitiam in Sabah you can order Nestum. Nestum! Amazing. And, as usual, no trip to Sabah is complete without avocado. Yumyum. But we forgot to eat Sabah oysters. Next trip. Next sem hols hopefully. Sabah is really a nice place. Labels: Holiday
I'm in Sabah now! Arrived on Sunday. With my dad, stepmom, sis in law and nephew. My bro couldn't come along coz he had too much work to do. Stayed at my sis in law's place for the last two nights while waiting for the parental units to come down from the mountain. Her mom prepared a room for me so I could have a room all to myself (Thank You, Aunty!). And also cooked great food. I can feel myself growing fatter just staying here. The plane ride was good..slept almost the whole way. As usual, little nephew was being very cute. There were a few anecdotes I wanted to put in, but forgot. All day today he was saying "daddy! daddy!" I think he probably misses his daddy already. Labels: Holiday
Yesterday I was drinking this tutti frutti cordial thingy and he wanted some, but I didn't give him any coz he doesn't know how to sip from a cup. He then came up with an idea to taste it. When I wasn't looking, he dipped his pacifier in it and put it back in his mouth. Eek. Also, he's been very manja...more than usual. But he doesn't seem to want to eat much here. Maybe he misses home. Btw, brother dear, if you read this, don't cry. Hehehehe.
I went for breakfast this morning with my bro n his son, it was so adorable! While waiting for my bro to get the food, little nephew tugged on my hand and took me for a walk around a table...5 times. My little nephew loves to eat ketchup for some reason, so he was happily dipping his fingers in the ketchup an sucking on them, then he dipped his hands in the ketchup and rubbed it all over his hair! If his mummy was there she'd probably have a fit. Then I suppose the progress was too slow, so he just picked up the container and licked it and got ketchup all over his face. After that he did it again and the little plastic thingy got stuck on his face, and when it fell off he did it again to get the thing stuck on his face on purpose, it was so adorable!
Oh yea..since my so-called "secret" blog is now out in the open, I probably should tone down my ranting, although my bro says no need. I'll probably rant anyway. Huhuhuhu.
Haven't been around for awhile...been busy. I'm working temporarily now, so didn't have time to go to my cousin's place (i.e personal cybercafe =D) and also it's been raining every evening for a while now. Finally today I have my chance. I've really been enjoying my job, and I wish I could stay working there until I go back to study, but unfortunately, my bf has a night job, and the only time I get to see him is during the day. My dad has booked all my weekends, and if my weekdays are taken up by work, I can't see him at all, and honestly, at would really suck. I'm away most of the time, so when I'm finally here it's nice to spend time together. I can't wait till I finish! The price of petrol really hiked up the other day, as everyone knows. So there were jams at all petrol stations. I mean, what's the point? A full tank is gonna last you like what? A week? All these people filling up on petrol are actually inconveniencing others. I work at a petrol kiosk, and that night, the station actually ran out of petrol, and there was no supply until the next afternoon, So that lost quite a bit of business for the station.
Tonight I'm babysitting for my brother and his wife. It's their anniversary, so they went out to celebrate. Baby's asleep, so I'm just lepaking here to make sure everything's okay. I've gotten instructions on how to make the milk, and just have to make it for him when he wakes up. I hope he doesn't wake up til his parents get back, tho. My upah? Free internet. Yeaahh
