It's been quite a few days since I've been back from Sabah, but finally I can blog! We stayed at the Tang Dynasty, and it was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't know if it's normally like that, or it was only that time. Firt of all, the bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but it was stated in the brochure that each room was supposed to have one. When asked, the receptionist said it was because of renovation in progress. Then, later we asked the housekeeping people, they said the room memang takde bathtub. Also, we asked for extra bed because there were three of us kan, but they didn't have any. Instead they providd a mattress which wasn't even comfortable! I would rather have stayd on in my sis-in-law's place. And when housekeeping made up the room, they didn't even make the mattress. Tak layak kot. And, the glasses they provided to drink with weren't clean. They looked like they weren't even washed. Yuck. But other than that, I had a great time. We went to this nice seafood place called Gayang. It's in Tuaran, a bit off the road, but anyone who goes anywhere near the area should look for it. Then we went to a kopitiam (I know..go all the way to Sabah and eat at kopitiam? Not my idea...ikut je). There was this wonderful yoghurt ice-cream..it was so yummy! We even took the numbr of the company (Jeny's) to see if they had any in KL. Also, that's when I discovered that if you go to any restaurant/mamak/kopitiam in Sabah you can order Nestum. Nestum! Amazing. And, as usual, no trip to Sabah is complete without avocado. Yumyum. But we forgot to eat Sabah oysters. Next trip. Next sem hols hopefully. Sabah is really a nice place.
