I want to join in the fun of MJ blogging. I remember the day I heard he passed away. I was driving to work and heard on the radio. I was very shocked. It took quite a while for the news to register. I couldn't believe my ears.
I'm not really a die hard MJ fan, but I remember really loving his Thriller album. I watched the laser disc over and over again and sang along with all the songs. At that time I think I was about 5 or 6..maybe younger. My favourite songs were Thriller, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and What About Us..and let's not forget Ben.
I didn't care so much for him when he turned white though. And then he started doing all that surgery and I liked him even less. So, I shall remember him for when he was black and great.
Nobody knows for sure if he really did die a muslim. If he did, Alhamdulillah. Wallahu'alam.
